I am a grandchild of Ezra Dan and Della Mae Parker. I would like to know once and for all, indian, mexican, or what. I have children who are just as curious as I am. The history has always been interesting to me. I have people comment on how much indian I look, except for my blonde hair and green eyes.

Thank you so much for your wonderful reply. I have some of my family history, some true and some untrue. As it has been stated on the site my g-grandmother (Annie M Short) was a story teller. My daddy Ezrett Parker loved to sit and listen to the tales she told. He claimed she didn't always tell the truth, but it was very entertaining. It is very sad he never knew his grandpa, nor do I think he knew about his g-grandmothers extended stay at the Austin Asylum. I learned this after my dad went home to meet with our wonderful maker.
Hello, Annette Sylvester - Welcome to Parker Heritage website and also welcome to the Group Page #1.
You may know now that much of your direct male Parker line, including Dan Ezra Parker to his father John Wesley Parker to his father John Parker Jr. to his father Henry Parker Sr., has been well researched. Modern male descendant(s) of those men have been YDNA tested and matched into Parker Project FG#1.
These early ancestors came from Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia. They were mainly a blend of Anglo-Irish-Scot and Eastern Cherokee bloodlines. It is equally accurateto say that those Parker, at least from ca. 1790 until now, carried a percentage of Cherokee blood that grew smaller with each passing generation. That can answer at least one of your questions.
In the lives of your ancestors, it is possible that other ethnic groups such as Hispanic were introduced through allied family lines. If they occurred at all, those entries must have been rare and brief, however, as they are not chronicled in your family's research.. That may answer another of your questions.
Yes, our nation is a melting pot. Your Parker line in FG#1 is not related to my Parkers in FG#7.
Good luck in your research.

Looking up family history is something that gets in your blood especially when there is so many unanswered questions as to what ethic group one may belong to. If there was a classification for Heinz 57 it would be a fit for lots of folks
