dead end with Greenberry Parker. He was born about 1815 in Mississippi Territory, mother Esther Parker (d 1879 in Coleman Co, Texas). Father may have been John? Greenberry lived, married, and had children in Jasper Co, MS through 1850. His first wife died, he remarried and moved to neighboring Clarke Co, MS, his name is mis-spelled in the 1860 census where he is listed as "J.B.Park". In the early 1860's the family moved to Texas. They bought a farm in Bell Co, TX in 1873, sold that farm near Elm Creek in 1877. Greenberry's grandson related most of this story. The family which included Esther Parker (continuing to live with or next door to Greenberry), traveled by wagon West to find land. In May 1879 they were visiting family on a ranch SW of Coleman and south of Santa Anna 7 miles. Greenberry age 64, Esther age 89, and two children died and are buried on that ranch (later called Parker ranch). The Parker and Goad families on Anc.com are will done. I would be glad to share what I have and would welcome any leads of Greenberry or of any family. Thank you.

What is your research interest in the Parker family?
My grandfather related what he could of the Parker family. His mother, Esther, came by caravan to Texas with Greenberry. As the Parker family crossed the river at Leon and Madison Co's, TX, she met John W. Campbell she would marry the next year. Grandad said he was a ?cousin of the Parker family who pioneered East Texas...I have never found a link. Any assistance is welcome!
