  • Hi, I live in Rothschild, WI. My original home was Owen, Wi. My father Harold Lee Parker was born, raised and died in Owen at 101 years old. His father John Lee Parker was born in Neillsville and moved to Owen sometime before 1910. His father Hezikiah came from West Bend area to Neillsville but came from New York originally. He had been married twice and had about 12 children total. His father was Peter Parker and Peter is baried in the Union Cemetery in Hartford, WI.
  • Hi, My Parker family is from the Black River Falls, Merrillan, Tomah, Warrens area. My Grandfather was Ted Lee Parker born 1906 - mid 1960's. He married Elvah Ellen Parker (Martin). They had 10 children one of which was my Mother Marjorie Marcella Matzke (Parker). My Grand fathers- fathers name was Isaac Ezekial (Zeke) Parker 1854-1927. Married twice, but my Gs Mother was Emma Jones Parker (Cox). Between the two marriages there were many children. Go Parkers! :)
    • My great Grandfather Ed was you Grandfathers half brother. Ed's mother was May.
  • Thanks for getting in touch with me.  I've done a little checking and it seems to me that we do not have a common ancestor.  But that doesn't discount what might be found in deeper research.  Where in Rhode Island were your ancestors?  When mine went to N.Y, they went in the area of Virgil, Cortland Co.  When they moved to Wisconsin, they seemed to have moved into some of the same areas as your family did - my grandfather, George William Parker, was born in Westfield in 1864.  Pittsville is relatively close to Mosinee, where my Grandfather moved and lived out his life.   None of my Parkers seemed to have moved to the northern part of the state, except my uncle Cal, who lived near Sherman, and close to a place called Sandy Beach.  We used to go to Ironwood from his house at times.    I'll keep looking.  I'm actually away from my family history stuff at the moment, but will be back there next week.  I have found that Parker is a surprisingly common name.

Again, thanks for getting in touch!

  • My Parkers moved around a lot but ended up in Long Lake (Tipler) area in Florence county.Neuman%20B%20Parker%20-%20Overview%20-%20Ancestry.com.pdfFrank%20Henry%20Parker%20-%20Overview%20-%20Ancestry.com.pdf Ive attached a couple pdfs hopefully you will be able to read them. My family also came from Rhode Island. As far as I can figure out it was my gggggfather who moved from Rhode Island to Chenango New York then after Civil war gggg moved to Reedsburg in Sauk county. Maybe we have relatives in common. I would be happy to share information if you give me an idea of where you want to start.

  • My Parkers are from Mosinee, originally Westfield after coming to Wisconsin from Rhode Island.  Glad to hear from you as it has been a bit quiet for Wisconsin Parkers!
