  • I would like to know if I am a member of this particular group of Parkers. I did have a Jonathan Parker who was my third GGF. He was born ~1769 and died ~ 1852 in Rutherford, Tenn. Are we talking about the same John Parker or is it sheer coincidence that two Johns were born and died at approx. the same time?
  • I am the great, great granddaughter of Elias Parker.  I am hoping to find anyone who is another direct descendent of Elias on 23andMe or GedMatch. Thanks!

  • I got an 1814 Campbell County,Tennessee deed yesterday that was from William Parker to William Douglas.

  • David,

This is the same link I posted.  I think I found it through a different route than you.  I guess there are many roads leading to the same place via the information highway.  Have a great day everyone.

  • Judy you should try this link as well. From the Screven County Library. http://www.sjrls.org/gene/default.cfm

  • e-mail me at pjdoug@bellsouth.net

  • Yesterday I stumbled onto a wonderful resource for my Parker family in Screven county, Georgia.  Here is the link:  http://dlg.galileo.usg.edu/GeorgiaReferenceShelf/Genealogy.html?Wel...

This site is found on the Digital Library of Georgia/Genealogical Resources.  Under "Collections",  "Screven County Genealogy Search Engine".  I actually found a source to prove Mary Cone, who married James Lee, was the daughter of William Cone.  I've been looking for an official source for 1.5 years!  James and Mary's daughter, Mary, married James Parker.  (Try keeping the James and Mary's straight)....Anyway, wanted to share this resource.  Happy New Year, everyone!

  • Look in my post "Parker Cemetery,Whitley County,KY" You may recognize some names

    • I believe we possibly connect to John of Wilkes Co, NC.
  • Hi, Paul. William Henderson Parker, Orlena's twin brother, is my gg grandfather via James Calvin Parker, James McKinley Parker and my dad, Paul D Parker. I'd be glad to share what I've got if you're interested. I've got 14 Freeman children and a few of their spouses, but nothing below that generation. I'd be glad to add what you've got for Hiram & Orlena Freeman's descendants.
